*Es ist Samstagmorgen 6.30 Uhr früh und ich traue meinen eigenen Augen nicht: Ich bin tatsächlich wach, bereits in meinen Yogaleggings und bereit 40 Minuten Autofahrt auf mich zu nehmen, um zu Grass Roots Yoga ins Hot Yoga in St. Kilda zu gehen. Das wohlbekannte Grass Roots Yoga Studio befindet sich in einem industriellen Teil von Melbourne und war mit dem Navi einfach zu finden.

It’s Saturday morning 7am and I can’t believe it, but there I am dressed in my yoga gear, ready to take on the 40 minutes drive to go to a hot yoga class in St. Kilda. I assume that I would be one of the only people crazy enough to get up so early to attend a sweaty, challenging yoga class. Little did I know that I was very wrong. The popular Grass Roots yoga studio, located in a bit of an industrial part of the city, was busy as if it was 7 o’clock at night and I was lucky to find a free space for my rental mat.*

Australian Yoga Academy (AYA), Prahran, Melboune

Es gibt 3 Yogastudios von “The Australian Yoga Academy” (AYA) in Melbourne. Ich besuchte 2 Lektionen in einem der kleineren Studios von AYA in Prahran. Dieses Studio befindet sich in einer wunderschönen, hippen Strasse in Melbourne. Praktisch alle Lektionen werden bei AYA in Prahran in einem heissen Raum – hot Vinyasa Flow – praktiziert.

*The Australian Yoga Academy (AYA) has 3 yoga studios in Melbourne and I went to the one in Prahran. The small yoga studio is located in one of the most beautiful, hip streets in Melbourne. I took 2 hot Vinyasa Flow classes, both with Nikkie. I really enjoyed Nikkie’s class. She has a stong presence, gives good instructions, is full of energy and taught a fast paced, challenging flow class.*

Was für ein helles, offenes und freundliches Yogastudio!
Body Flow Yoga ist eines der wenigen Yogastudios in Melbourne, welches neben regulären Yogaklassen auch Aerial Yoga anbietet. Ich besuchte je eine Lektion, um ein Gefühl für dieses Studio zu bekommen. Sophie, die Besitzerin von Body Flow Yoga, ist eine erfahrene Yogalehrerin mit einer grossen Leidenschaft fürs Unterrichten von Aerial Yoga und Umkehrhaltungen.

Body Flow Yoga offers Aerial Yoga Classes and regular yoga classes. I took one class each to get a feel for what this studio is all about. The studio owner, Sophie, is an experienced yoga teacher who is very passionate about aerial yoga, inversions and passing on her skills to her yoga community.*
